Motorola

Motorola has once again captured the attention of smartphone enthusiasts with the unveiling of its highly anticipated Moto Razr 40 Ultra and Razr 40 foldable flip phones in China. These devices are set to compete with other leading foldable phones in the market, such as the OPPO Find N2 Flip and the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 5. Packed with cutting-edge features and powerful specifications, the Moto Razr 40 Ultra aims to deliver a truly immersive and innovative user experience.

One of the standout features of the Moto Razr 40 Ultra is its 6.9-inch foldable Full-HD LTPO AMOLED inner display. With a peak brightness of 1400 nits and a remarkable 165Hz refresh rate, users can expect vibrant colors and smooth scrolling. The display boasts a 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, enabling it to portray an astonishing 1 billion colors. Furthermore, it is HDR10+ certified, ensuring stunning contrast and enhanced visuals. Complementing the inner display is a 3.6-inch outer AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 1100 nits and a 144Hz refresh rate, providing users with a convenient screen for quick interactions.

Motorola has embraced a squarish clamshell design for the Razr 40 Ultra, adorned with Gorilla Glass Victus protection both at the front and back. This design not only enhances the phone’s durability but also gives it a sleek and premium look. The outer screen has been enlarged, making it more usable and customizable. It offers features like AOD (Always-on Display) and supports various apps, providing users with quick access to notifications and essential functions.

Under the hood, the Moto Razr 40 Ultra is powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, coupled with the Adreno 730 GPU. This combination ensures seamless performance, allowing users to multitask, run demanding applications, and enjoy graphically intensive games with ease. The device offers up to 12GB of RAM, enabling smooth multitasking, and up to 512GB of storage, providing ample space for storing photos, videos, and files.

Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the camera capabilities of the Moto Razr 40 Ultra. It features a 12MP primary Sony IMX563 sensor, accompanied by a 13MP ultrawide SK Hynix Hi1336 sensor. These high-quality sensors capture detailed and vibrant images in various lighting conditions. On the front, nestled within the foldable inner display, is a 32MP OmniVision OV32B40 selfie shooter, ensuring crisp and clear selfies.

In terms of battery life, the Moto Razr 40 Ultra packs a 3,800mAh battery, which supports 33W wired charging and 5W wireless charging. With this battery capacity, users can enjoy their device for extended periods without worrying about running out of power. Additionally, the device offers various connectivity options, including 5G with dual nano SIM and e-SIM support, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth version 5.3, NFC, and USB Type-C.

Software-wise, the Moto Razr 40 Ultra runs on Moto MyUI 6.0, based on the latest Android 13 operating system, providing users with a clean and intuitive user interface. It also includes a side-mounted fingerprint reader for secure unlocking and stereo speakers for an immersive audio experience.

The Moto Razr 40 Ultra is available in three captivating color options: Infinite Black, Glacier Blue, and Pantone 2023 Magenta. These color choices allow users to express their individuality and style.

Motorola has also introduced the vanilla Razr 40, which shares many similarities with the Razr 40 Ultra but features a smaller outer display. The inner display, however, remains the same as the Razr 40 Ultra. The device offers a 144Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, and up to 1100 nits of brightness. It is equipped with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, up to 12GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, and a larger 4,800mAh battery.
