BGMI Unban News: Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), the popular battle royale game cherished by Indian gaming enthusiasts, remains absent from virtual stores despite ongoing reports of its potential return. Recently, KRAFTON, the developer of BGMI, disclosed its Q1 2023 earnings, shedding light on the company’s future prospects in the event of BGMI’s revival. In a media interaction, KRAFTON’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Bae Dong Geun, addressed the latest developments surrounding the much-anticipated unban of Battlegrounds Mobile India. Here is what you need to know.

Following the disclosure of KRAFTON’s Q1 earnings, many wondered about the implications for the company’s growth if BGMI were to coexist with PUBG Mobile. During a press conference, CFO Bae Dong Geun provided insights into the BGMI ban and shared his perspective on the ongoing situation.

BGMI Unban Will Improve The Sales

In response to a query about the potential impact of BGMI’s return on KRAFTON’s performance, CFO Bae Dong Geun expressed optimism, stating, “If we are also able to get some good news regarding BGMI, I believe Krafton Mobile will outperform. But with regards to whether this is a good enough signal as you wanted to expect, I’m not quite sure. But as a CFO, I guess that’s really my take on it. Yes, then you can enjoy it.”

Regarding sales figures, CFO Bae Dong Geun noted that comparing Q4 of the previous year to Q1 of the current year, sales had declined on an annual basis, primarily due to the suspension of BGMI services. He emphasized that if the ban on BGMI were lifted and the game’s services were restored, the sales numbers would experience an upward trajectory.

Based on these statements, it becomes evident that KRAFTON maintains a keen interest in reintroducing BGMI, despite not having any concrete updates to share at the moment. As a result, gamers eagerly await an official statement from the company, while patiently hoping for the eventual return of Battlegrounds Mobile India.
