How to Download Aadhaar Card & Save it on your phone: Digital Aadhaar Card

 

The backbone behind everything regarding Aadhaar (UIDAI) keeps rolling out all-new facilities to ease the problems of users who hold Aadhaar cards. Recently, in the time of the pandemic situation in India UIDAI had announced that Aadhaar cardholders can download Aadhaar card details online any time anywhere.

For downloading Aadhaar, UIDAI has issued a direct link through which users can download their 12-digit unique ID. This essential document is used in various paths of life.


The Aadhaar card can be simply downloaded by using the direct Aadhaar link eaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/ as per individual convenience.



Steps to Download Aadhaar Card



Step 1: First you need to visit https://uidai.gov.in/


Step 2: After reaching onto the website now, click on the Download Aadhaar option under ‘Get Aadhaar’.


Step 3: Now enter your Aadhaar number and the security code that is visible on the page.


Step 4: After completing the first three steps, now click on ‘Send OTP’. An OTP will pop up on your registered mobile number.


Step 5: Enter the obtained OTP and click on ‘Verify and download’.


Step 6: Once all of your details are verified, you’ll find the PDF of the *Aadhaar Card* in your Downloads folder in the file section.


Step 7: The download PDF file ‘Aadhaar Card’ will be password protected. To open it, click on the downloaded file option and enter the password: which will be eight characters in total – a combination of the first four-letter from your name (as written in the Aadhaar card) in capital letter and an additional year of birth in YYYY format.


Step 8: After unlocking the PDF file, you can either retain the e-Aadhaar card in the Downloads file folder or save it in your (Gmail) email for future use.
