Truecaller 12 Launches Video Caller ID, New UI, and More New Features

Truecaller, the caller ID app has rolled out a slew of new features that might excite its users. Version 12, will roll out this week with everything that it has to offer in it. Let’s have a look at this!

At first, the Truecaller app will have a few design changes which will be something to look at. The SMS tabs and calls will be separated. The individual chats can be granted access easily and the SMS section will have group chats for effective texting with multiple people at the same time. The existing features such as Inbox Cleaner, Call Reason, Call Alerts, Full-Screen Caller ID, and more will remain the same in the app.

Truecaller 12 also offers a new Video Caller ID Feature, which will allow the users to set a short clip that will be played when you dial your family and friends for a personal touch to calls. You can either take help from the in-built video or choose to record a custom video. The feature will be rolled out in IOS earlier than for Android users later soon.

Call recording

for both incoming and outgoing calls- is another interesting feature that Truecaller finally has decided to release for everyone which was earlier a premium feature. This feature is optional, enabled easily during the setup process of the application.

Ghost Call

The feature in version 12 would be something useful to get out of situations you don’t want to be a part of. You can simply schedule a ghost call by setting a name, image, and number, and Truecaller will it seem like an incoming call. You can also use the contact from your list to make it look like a genuine incoming call. This feature is only for Gold and Premium users.

Call Announce feature

The caller ID of the incoming calls will be spoken out. This works in both ways for saved numbers and the ones which Truecaller recognizes. This feature is quite similar to iOS 15’s Announce Notifications feature.

Truecaller is planning to introduce this feature for Android users in India in the coming weeks. The feature will not be available for iOS users anytime soon.
