 Jovenel Moise, a 53-year-old Haiti president was fatally murdered early on Wednesday at his family home in the hills above Port-au-Prince at about 1 am local time on Wednesday. The officials said it was a group of foreigners, trained killers who shot at least a dozen times, according to Carl Henry Destin [a judicial official], who said the president’s bedroom and office were ransacked.

According to new [details] that have been reported in local reports, the assailants tied up the staff, and one of Moise’s three children survived the tragedy by hiding in her brother’s bedroom until the help arrived.

“Foreigners came to our country to kill the president [Jovenel Moise],” Charles said. “There were 26 Colombians, who were identified by their passports, and two Haitian Americans as well.”

Moreover, Haiti’s minister of elections and interparty relations, Mathias Pierre, identified the Haitian American detained suspects as Joseph Vincent, 55, and James Solages, 35.

Out of 26 Colombians, 15 Colombians were taken under custody, as well as two Haitian Americans. Three of the attackers were killed and eight were still on the run, Charles said.

“We found him [lying] on his back, a white blood-stained shirt, with blue trousers, his mouth open, the left eye gouged out,” Destin told Haiti’s newspaper, Le Nouvelliste.

“It was full, well-equipped [commando], with more than six cars and a lot of [equipment],” Martias Pierre said.

Earlier on Thursday embassy has discovered a group of armed possible suspects, which were described as [mercenaries] in the ministry’s official statement, and informed the Haitian authorities. Taiwan has permitted without hesitation to allow Haitian police access, a spokeswoman told.

The Haitian police carried out an operation at about 4 pm… and reportedly arrested 11 suspected heavily armed terrorists. The follow-along was very smooth and the suspects did not show any opposition. The spokeswoman providing the following information but did not reveal the nationalities of the arrested men.
