Imran Khan: Pakistan PM Rises a link in sexual violence with women’s clothing and Declines to Condemn China’s Xinjiang crackdown 

 

In conversation with Axios, Khan repudiated that he had been blaming rape victims, but as cliché goes he suggested women’s attire provokes the rate of sexual harassment in society. Khan said,” If a woman is wearing very lesser clothes, will have an impact on today’s men, unless they’re robots. I mean its common knowledge”.

Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan decline to censures the Chinese government’s purported human rights misused against the Muslim-majority Uyghur people in Xinjiang in an interview with Axios this weekend. Imran khan when pressed on reports of extended detention and abuse of Uyghurs, he said “one of the greatest friends to Pakistan in our most difficult/hard times,” and any communication with Beijing on Xinjiang would happen “behind a closed door.”

Muslim minorities and up to 2 million are believed to have been settled in a lounged network of confinement centers around Xinjiang in recent years, confirmed by according to the US State Department. Many detainees accused that they were subjected to attempted sterilization, physical abuse, and also indoctrination.


Around the world, several Western parliaments and the United States government have labeled China’s action which was held in Xinjiang as genocide. Khan also said Beijing had declined reports of extensive violence against Uyghur Muslims in private conversations with Islamabad, Pakistan.

Imran Khan said, “We respect how they are… How come this is such a big deal in the western world? Why the people of Kashmir are disregarded? It is much more pertinent”.

The discourse of actions Muslim-majority area of Kashmir has been the major epicenter of an often brutal territorial fight between India and Pakistan.

In the year 2019, the Indian government came to a decision to officially split the former state of Jammu and Kashmir into two union territories in a neighboring region, giving New Delhi the capital state of India the greater control over their affairs. Indian-controlled Kashmir was followed by a security breach/crackdown by New Delhi, involving the suspension of all the communications and heavy limitations on movement and public gatherings.

Pakistan has the second-largest Muslim population in the world, and Islam is there official religion. “I look around the globe, and what’s happening in Afghanistan, Libya, Syria, Somalia and Palestine, am I going to comment about everything?” Khan added.


In Sunday’s interview, Khan has avoided criticizing China on the allegations of human rights, violence in Xinjiang and this is not the first time. Pakistan has been in friendship with China for a long time and trading has profited immensely from the Chinese infrastructure spending, Road initiative, and as part of President Xi Jinping’s global belt.
